Pick and pack services in Europe accurate, on-spec, out the door

The core of fulfilment: your stock is held, the right items are picked for every order, packed the way you want them and dispatched on time. Get matched to European partners that do it accurately and integrate with your store.

The difference

Picked right, packed the way you sell

Pick and pack sounds simple until an accuracy slip ships the wrong item or a rushed pack arrives damaged — both land as a refund and a bad review. The matching filters to partners measured on pick accuracy and dispatch speed, that pack to your specification and sync tracking back, so the outbound step stops being where orders go wrong.

Accuracy and dispatch speed

Filter to partners that pick against a scanned, real-time stock system and dispatch same or next day, so the right item leaves fast and your inventory count stays honest.

Packed to your specification

See partners that pack to your rules — your boxes, inserts, branded or plain packaging and any kitting — and sync a tracking number back to your store the moment the parcel ships.

How pick and pack works

  1. 01

    Set your spec

Tell us your order volume, average items per order, packaging rules and the platforms you sell on, plus the European markets you ship to.

  2. 02

    Compare shortlists

Partners are filtered to those that pick accurately and dispatch on your timeline, then scored on fit for your volume, packaging and integrations.

  3. 03

    Request an intro

Send a request to the partners worth talking to, with your order profile attached, so pricing comes back against your real basket rather than a sample order.

  1. 01

    Pick

When an order lands, the item is located and picked, usually against a scanned system that checks the right unit was taken and decrements the stock count.

  2. 02

    Pack

The order is packed to your specification — correct box or mailer, protection, inserts and branding — ready to survive the carrier network intact.

  3. 03

    Dispatch

A label is generated, the parcel is handed to the carrier, and a tracking number flows back to your store so the customer is updated automatically.

What is pick and pack?

Pick and pack is the core outbound step of order fulfilment: locating and picking the items for a customer's order from storage, then packing them ready for dispatch. It is the part of the process a fulfilment centre or 3PL is most directly measured on, through pick accuracy (shipping the right item) and dispatch speed (how quickly the order leaves after it is placed). Providers typically charge a pick and pack fee per order plus a smaller fee per additional item, and pack to the merchant's specification — their boxes, inserts and branding. In an integrated setup, picking decrements a real-time stock count and dispatch pushes a tracking number back to the store automatically.

Common questions

What does pick and pack mean?

Pick and pack is the process of picking the items for each customer order from where they are stored, then packing them ready to ship. It is the central outbound task in fulfilment. Picking is about accuracy — the right item and quantity — and packing is about protecting the order and presenting it to your standard, whether that is plain packaging or fully branded.

How is pick and pack priced?

Most partners charge a pick and pack fee per order that covers the first item, plus a smaller fee for each additional item in the same order. Standard packaging is often included, while custom boxes, inserts and kitting are usually priced separately. Confirm whether a quote is per order or per item, since that changes the comparison, and price it against your real average items per order.

How do you keep pick accuracy high?

The reliable approach is barcode or scan-verified picking, where the system confirms the picker took the exact unit an order calls for before it is packed, and updates the stock count at the same time. Ask a prospective partner for their pick accuracy rate and how they measure it — a strong operation will quote a figure well above 99% and explain how they get there.

Can a partner pack orders with my own branding?

Yes — most fulfilment partners pack to your specification, which can include your own boxes and mailers, tissue and inserts, branded tape and gift messaging. Set this out when you request an intro so pricing includes the materials and any extra handling time. Tell us it matters and the matching surfaces partners set up for branded and custom packing.

How fast should orders be dispatched?

Same-day dispatch for orders placed before a daily cut-off is the standard to aim for, with next-day as the fallback for later orders. What matters is that the cut-off and the dispatch SLA are stated clearly and met consistently, because delivery promises on your store depend on them. Confirm the cut-off time and the SLA before committing.
