WMS fulfilment in Europe, stock you can actually see

The software a fulfilment centre uses to control stock movement — receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch — and to keep a real-time record of what is where. In ecommerce it scans every unit, catches pick errors before they ship, and syncs live inventory back to your store so you do not oversell.

Because a large building with a manual, spreadsheet-based count is still a black box: you learn about a stockout when an order fails. A real WMS gives you accurate live inventory, barcode-checked accuracy and an audit trail per unit. When comparing partners, the system running the warehouse is a better signal than the floor space.

A capable one will, by API, so the quantity shown on your storefront reflects what is actually on the shelf and decrements as orders ship. This is essential when selling across several channels at once. Ask a prospective partner exactly which platforms they sync to and how often, rather than assuming real-time.

You do if you sell food, supplements, cosmetics or electronics, where lot recall and shelf-life matter. A WMS that tracks batch, expiry and serial numbers lets a partner pick oldest-stock-first and trace any unit to its order. Tell us if your goods need this so the shortlist only includes partners whose system supports it.

Ask to see the live inventory dashboard during your intro, and ask what stock accuracy they hold and how often they cycle-count. A partner confident in their WMS will show you, not describe it. Overselling and reconciliation headaches almost always trace back to a warehouse without real system control.
